The Saint Joseph’s University (SJU) Investment Fund ("we," "our," or "the Fund") is committed to protecting the privacy of our student members, alumni, and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use our website and member portal.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us through account registration, resume uploads, and contact forms:

  • Account Registration Data: When you sign up via Auth0, we collect your name, email address (must be a valid @sju.edu address), primary and secondary majors, and expected graduation year.
  • Resume Submissions: If you upload your resume for review, we collect the PDF file, file metadata, and your explicit consent regarding whether we may share your resume with our alumni network and corporate recruiters.
  • Payment Metadata: We track whether you have paid your semester membership dues (dues status, deadlines, and transaction reference numbers). Note: We do not store credit card numbers on our servers; payments are processed through our secure third-party billing providers.
  • Inquiries: Any information you submit via public contact forms or newsletter registrations.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To manage your membership account, verify student status, and track dues collections.
  • To facilitate the student resume review process by our executive board.
  • To share resumes with potential employers, recruiters, and alumni mentors (only with your explicit opt-in consent).
  • To send official announcements, newsletter updates, and meeting notes via email.
  • To protect the security of our application and prevent spam or unauthorized access.

3. Data Storage and Security

  • Database: Your profile details are securely stored in our managed relational database.
  • Files: Resumes are uploaded directly to secure, private object storage containers (Cloudflare R2). Access is restricted using temporary, signed access links.
  • Authentication: We use Auth0 to manage password hashes and sessions. The Fund never sees or stores your password.
  • Security Measures: We use standard encryption (SSL/HTTPS) for all data in transit.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share information with:

  • Alumni & Recruiters:Resumes are shared only if you select the "consent to share" checkbox during upload.
  • Service Providers: Secure third-party platforms who assist us in operating our site (Auth0 for authentication, Cloudflare for file storage, and Resend for sending email communications).
